![](https://blog.applicaa.com/hubfs/newsletter-banners/comms-campaigns-recap-banner-v3.png) Most schools run admissions marketing in four disconnected places: a form that emails somebody, an inbox, a mailing tool, and a spreadsheet in July that tries to prove any of it worked. Parents and students both arrive with the right contact type, straight into your pipeline and ready to follow up, convert and track. Student Emma, your website assistant, answers the routine questions around the clock, entry requirements, open evening dates, how to apply, and hands over anything she can't answer to your team as a real lead. ## Communicate like a marketing team The new Templates area builds emails from nine blocks (headings, images, buttons, columns, video), or you can start from the Template Library and make a designed email yours. Merge tokens fill on send, so it's "Hi Imogen", never "Hi ". You can also describe an email and get a branded draft back, logo and merge tokens included, or ask AI to rewrite a single block ("make this heading warmer"). Nothing sends or saves itself. You stay in control of every send. ## Measure what actually worked Campaigns has been live for every school since 22 September. It doesn't send anything itself, it groups what you already send and shows what it produced: who you reached, who a linked asset touched, who converted, and which asset actually closed them. In one demonstration campaign, of 1,570 students contacted about an Open Evening, 230 registered, and the last thing 71% of them touched was an email. That's the question schools have never been able to answer easily before now. Find it under Communications, then the Campaigns tab. ## What's next: Workflows, SMS and WhatsApp A visual Workflow Builder is coming so the follow-up to an enquiry or application becomes a rule, not a task on somebody's list: chasing incomplete applications, welcoming new enquiries, reminding open evening no-shows. A pilot group goes first. SMS and WhatsApp are coming alongside email, never instead of it. Email always sends in full. For students who've opted in, WhatsApp carries a short nudge or the SMS-style message; if WhatsApp can't deliver, it falls back to SMS automatically. Every message logs against the student's record with the channel it actually went by. ## Try it today Communications, then Campaigns - it's already in your account.
