![](https://blog.applicaa.com/hubfs/champions%20LUNCH.png) We had the privilege of hosting some of our most dedicated users at an exclusive Applicaa Appreciation and Excellence Lunch in Soho, London. Hosted by our CTO, Tim Dixon, and Head of Customer Growth, Mandy Sangha, this special event brought together Power Users from across different Applicaa platforms to celebrate the incredible impact they're making in their schools. ## Recognising excellence Being named a Power User isn't just about high usage statistics. It's about how these schools have truly embedded Applicaa into their processes, driving efficiency, accuracy, and better experiences for students and families. Out of thousands of schools using Applicaa products, these users stand out for their innovative approaches and exceptional results. Each attendee received a Power User Certificate recognising their outstanding use of Applicaa - a small token of appreciation for the big difference they're making in their institutions. ## Why these events matter The lunch wasn't about presentations or product roadmaps. There was no formal agenda. Instead, it was exactly what our Champions community deserves: great food, great company, and a genuine thank you. These gatherings serve a deeper purpose beyond celebration. They create valuable opportunities for our top users to: - **Connect with peers** facing similar challenges across the sector - **Share insights and strategies** that work in real-world admissions scenarios - **Swap stories** about what's working (and what's not) - **Build relationships** that extend beyond their own institutions Schools trust other schools. The conversations that happen around these tables - about process improvements, staff training approaches, SLT engagement strategies - are invaluable to institutions at every stage of their Applicaa journey. ## The Champions community continues to grow Our Applicaa Champions programme exists because we know that the best advocates for what's possible with our platform are the people using it every day. Champions help shape Applicaa's future through: - Filming testimonials and case studies - Co-presenting webinars on best practices - Providing feedback on new features and training resources - Sharing their expertise with schools considering or implementing Applicaa If you're getting exceptional results from Applicaa and want to help other schools do the same, we'd love you to join the Champions community. ## Thank you To everyone who joined us at the lunch: thank you. Your dedication to excellence in admissions management doesn't just benefit your own schools - it raises standards across the entire sector. And to all our Applicaa users working tirelessly behind the scenes: we see you, we appreciate you, and we're here to support you every step of the way. **Interested in becoming an Applicaa Champion?** Get in touch with Mandy at [mandy@applicaa.com](mailto:mandy@applicaa.com) to learn more about opportunities to share your expertise and connect with our community. ### Share: [Share on Facebook](http://www.facebook.com/share.php?u=https://blog.applicaa.com/celebrating-excellence-applicaa-champions-appreciation-lunch&utm_medium=social&utm_source=facebook) [Share on LinkedIn](http://www.linkedin.com/shareArticle?mini=true&url=https://blog.applicaa.com/celebrating-excellence-applicaa-champions-appreciation-lunch&utm_medium=social&utm_source=linkedin) [Share on X](https://twitter.com/intent/tweet?original_referer=https://blog.applicaa.com/celebrating-excellence-applicaa-champions-appreciation-lunch&utm_medium=social&utm_source=twitter&url=https://blog.applicaa.com/celebrating-excellence-applicaa-champions-appreciation-lunch&utm_medium=social&utm_source=twitter&source=tweetbutton&text=Celebrating%20Excellence) [Applicaa Champions](https://blog.applicaa.com/tag/applicaa-champions) ## Nicola Entwistle Head of Marketing [nicola@applicaa.com](mailto:nicola@applicaa.com) ## Comments ## Related posts Search [BETT 2025: key insights and connections from the show floor](https://blog.applicaa.com/bett-2025-key-insights-and-connections-from-the-show-floor) [Complete the 11+ journey - why grammar schools across the UK are using Exams+](https://blog.applicaa.com/complete-the-11-journey-why-grammar-schools-across-the-uk-are-using-exams) Search Copyright © 2025 Applicaa LTD, All Rights Reserved ```json { "@context" : "https://schema.org", "@type" : "BlogPosting", "author" : { "@type" : "Person", "name" : "Nicola Entwistle", "url" : "https://blog.applicaa.com/author/nicola-entwistle" }, "dateModified" : "2026-02-11T14:56:57.277Z", "datePublished" : "2026-02-11T14:56:57.000Z", "headline" : "Celebrating Excellence", "image" : [ "https://blog.applicaa.com/hubfs/champions%20LUNCH.png" ], "mainEntityOfPage" : { "@id" : "https://blog.applicaa.com/celebrating-excellence-applicaa-champions-appreciation-lunch", "@type" : "WebPage" }, "publisher" : { "@type" : "Organization", "logo" : { "@type" : "ImageObject", "url" : "https://blog.applicaa.com/hubfs/APPLICAA_LOGO_White%20Background-1.png" }, "name" : "Applicaa LTD." } } ```
