What a night. On Tuesday 7 July, we swapped spreadsheets for sunset views and welcomed our customers to the Applicaa Summer Party 2026. It was our way of saying thank you to the schools and colleges we get to work with all year, a chance to see familiar faces and to finally meet so many of you in person. Here is a little recap for those who came, and a taste of what you missed if you could not.
We took over the rooftop at The Broadcaster in White City, up at Television Centre, as the sun went down over London. With drinks in hand and nibbles doing the rounds, the rooftop was the perfect backdrop for a relaxed evening of good conversation.
The star of the show? Our magician, who had guests genuinely stunned all evening. Add in a rooftop sunset, plenty of laughter and the chance to put faces to names, and it made for a lovely night. For many of you it was the first time meeting the Applicaa team and fellow users face to face, and that community feel was exactly what we hoped for.
We speak to so many of you over email and see you at training throughout the year, so it was lovely to take a break, put names to faces and meet new people outside the usual setting. That was the whole idea: a relaxed evening together, and a proper thank you for working with us all year.
The feedback made our week. One guest told us it "really was a lovely night" and that the magician was "amazing", and several of you said the timing was spot on. We are already noting your suggestions (a Thursday or Friday next time) for an even bigger and better social.
This will not be a one-off. We loved it as much as you did, and we are already thinking about the next one. Keep an eye on your inbox, and if you have thoughts on what would make the next event even better, we would love to hear them.
